About Cologne

Cologne is the largest city in the German federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth-largest city in Germany. It is located on both sides of the Rhine River, less than eighty kilometres from Belgium. Cologne is subdivided into 9 boroughs and 85 districts. It has more than thirty museums and hundreds of galleries. From local ancient Roman archaeological sites to contemporary graphics and sculpture. The city also has the most pubs per capita in Germany. It has has 70 clubs, many bars, restaurants, and pubs.

Cologne is one of the warmest cities in Germany.

During World War II, Cologne was a Military Area Command Headquarters for the Military District VI of Münster.
